So, here's the intro to Lost Odyssey. The overall feel is that of the Final Fantasy series, which means that this game is what FFXII should've been. The music is composed by Nobuo Uematsu, and seems to reference some of his older work in this clip. Think Aeris' Theme, Prelude, and in the end, Cosmo Canyon.
As some of the comments on Kotaku said, the game looks very brown/gray. However, what most of those people didn't think of is that the game apparently spans over 1000 years. Maybe it'll be sort of like in Final Fantasy X, where you start off in a hi-tech wonderland and suddenly end up in the almost primal tropical island of Besaid, in another world. Different time periods will probably be differentiated (is that the correct term?) that way.
Here's another clip, featuring gameplay footage.
