The Weekend

This weekend has been a whole new kind of wonderful. Last week my better half suggested taking a trip to my family's cabin in the woods this weekend. We'd talked about it before, but suddenly it became reality. Two days with only enough electricity for lamps, and with no other people around us. It was the two of us and the dog, Tasha. The dog is used to living with three other dogs, thus this trip was great for her. She got the attention she needed, and managed to relax completely. Catharina and I relaxed as well, and even got a slight tan! There's a small lake very near the cabin, and the temperature was about 20 degrees celsius. This meant, of course, that we had to take at least one bath.

On Sunday evening we were picked up by Catharina's stepfather, and after unpacking at her place we were suddenly asked if we wanted to go see the Ozzy concert. Apparently her mother didn't feel well enough to go, and they didn't want to throw away the tickets. I felt bad about getting tickets that way, but getting to see Ozzy.. I couldn't reject. And better us than nobody, really.
