Silent Hill

I'm a fan of the Silent Hill series of games. I'm not too good at playing horror games, but the atmosphere in this series really is perfect. Some of the credit for this goes to composer and sound designer Akira Yamaoka.
Now, the next Silent Hill game (Silent Hill: Downpour) is apparently being scored by Daniel Licht, famous for the soundtrack to the TV show Dexter. In addition, the band Korn will be performing this game's theme song.
I'm anxious to see the end result. Will Licht's music change the feel of the game? Will he be able to recreate the atmosphere Yamaoka has given us?

To celebrate Yamaoka's music (or just because it was about time I did a Silent Hill cover), I've recorded a cover version of one of the more popular themes from Silent Hill 2 - The track is called Promise, and here's my take on it.
I entered Dwelling of Duels with it last month, and got enough feedback to retouch the track properly.
It's my first time utilizing an acoustic guitar in a track, I'm very content with the result.
