Wish You Were Here

The burial is over. You never really know what to say in situations like these. After the initial shock, the days passed slowly and in a blur. Now, after this, days will be going back to normal. Daily life will go on as before as if nothing happened, save for that one void in everyone's life. Some things may be slightly changed, such as relationships within the family. If there is one thing you can say for certain, it is that tragedies bring families closer together.

To round off this post, here's a rerun of Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte which was played during the ceremony. A track I'll be working on my own arrangement of soon, as a final tribute of sorts..

SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that 's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes
